Introduction
Discovery of isothiocyanate compounds, in particular an isothiocyanate isolated from Wasabiajaponica MATSUM and its derivatives
The compounds I7457 and I7557 can respectively delay the growth of cancer cells by arresting at least 45% of the cancer cells in the G2/M cycle. The above experimental results show that the present compound is very likely to be used as a lead compound for therapeutic agents for treating cancer (including drug-resistant cancer).
The two isothiocyanate compounds I7457 and I7557 are compounds containing an easily identifiable isothiocyanate (-NCS-) group and can be isolated from plants.
The isothiocyanate of the present invention is isolated from plants, seeds or plant extracts.

2. 6-methylsulfinylhexyl isothiocyanate (I7457) and its derivatives, 6-methylsulfonylhexyl isothiocyanate (I7557) and its derivatives isolated from wasabi can inhibit the growth of pancreatic cancer, chronic myeloid leukemia, non-small cell lung cancer and esophageal cancer cells.
