Features / strengths
Bridged Nucleic Acid (BNA™) is a new type of nucleotide modification. BNA™ has a bridge structure (O2', C4'-aminomethylene bridge) formed by the oxygen atom No. 2 and carbon atom No. 4 on the five-carbon sugar. This structure allows BNA™ to interact with the target gene DNA/RNA. Forms strong bonds that are more stable than ordinary DNA:DNA, DNA:RNA, RNA:RNA structures.
In experiments, using BNA™ as probe/primer/siRNA can effectively improve the hybridization ability and Tm value with the target sequence. When adding 1 BNA™, the Tm value can increase by 2 to 9 degrees C and reduce errors. Match probability.
