ASUS partners with GE to capture cloud-based AI medical imagingDec 20, 2022

In addition to launching the first smart health bracelet in Taiwan that combines ECG and pulse index, ASUS Cloud has also partnered with GE Healthcare to build Taiwan's first cloud-native medical imaging and AI service, helping to popularise medical imaging services in the clinical setting and in primary clinics. With a double-digit CAGR for the AI medical imaging market to reach US$265 billion by 2026, ASUSTeK announced on 19th that it has partnered with GE Healthcare to launch Taiwan's first cloud-native medical imaging and AI service, DicomCloud, which combines ASUS cloud technology with GE Healthcare's AW Server medical imaging system and AI platform. DicomCloud combines ASUS cloud technology with GE's AW Server medical imaging system and AI platform, integrating cloud image access and AI processing, and then showcased through ASUS AIoT products.

The cloud-based medical image processing services provided by both parties can not only be deployed quickly and conveniently for immediate use under the cloud service framework, but can also be quickly implemented in medical centres and primary clinics, significantly enhancing the popularity and accessibility of medical image diagnostic services in the clinical setting, and accelerating the implementation of medical classification and digital transformation of primary care, establishing intelligent medical services, and further promoting the innovative transformation of the industry. The ASUS Vivowatch 5 AERO is the world's first health bracelet to measure pulse index at the fingertips, using a medical-grade triple-pole single-lead ECG electrical sensor and a dual-channel PPG optical sensor. The new ASUS Vivowatch 5 AERO will be made available in the first quarter of next year.
