Introduction
INTERSCIENCE Scan Ai is a made-in-France automatic AI colony counter and inhibition zone reader designed for microbiology laboratories, hospital laboratories, pharmaceutical and biotechnology QC, food safety, and environmental microbiology testing. Powered by artificial intelligence and advanced image analysis, Scan Ai can perform automatic colony counting in approximately 1 second and process up to 400 plates per hour. It can classify bacteria, yeasts, and molds while excluding artifacts such as bubbles, markings, and stickers.
Scan Ai also functions as an inhibition zone reader for antimicrobial susceptibility testing, supporting antibiotic disc detection, inhibition zone measurement, and result categorization. The system is compatible with a wide range of media and formats, including Petri dishes, Spiral® plates, Petrifilm™, CompactDry™, Easy Plate™, filtration membranes, contact plates, and environmental monitoring plates. With LIMS connectivity, dataLink traceability, double electronic signature, audit trail, and report export functions, Scan Ai supports standardized and auditable microbiological analysis workflows.
