Introduction
Kartigen is a cell product derived from autologous cells. The bone marrow stromal cells are harvested from the pelvic bone, and it is magnified by 100 time in the laboratory when it is cultured with growth factors to differentiate into chondrocyte progenitors. The Oorthopaedic surgeons eventually implant the cell into the site where cartilage defects through knee arthroscopy for cartilage regeneration.
