Biotech Listings Projected to Hit Record High in 2026; Sector Diversification Spans New Drugs, MedTech, AI, and Health ManagementDec 29, 2025

Taiwan’s biomedical capital market is experiencing a resurgence, with the number of new listings in 2026 expected to hit an all-time high. A wave of Initial Public Offerings (IPOs) spanning drug development, bio-medical devices, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and health management is underway. Industry experts anticipate that the number of biotech listings could exceed 15, breaking historical records.

HCmed Innovations (心誠鎂) will lead the charge in February 2026. Currently, at least ten biotech companies have completed their applications and are awaiting approval to enter the TAIEX or TPEx markets. This marks a period of intensive listing activity rarely seen in recent years.

Key Listing Forecasts for 2026:

  • Listing (TWSE): Following HCmed Innovations, companies such as TAHO Pharma, Anya Biopharm, and  Pharmasaga aim to complete their listings. TCM Biotech International has already received board approval from the TWSE and plans to raise NT$974 million through a cash capital increase of 7.38 million shares. StemCyte International-KY, a multinational cell therapy firm, targets a Q2 listing, making it the first foreign enterprise to apply for primary listing next year.
  • OTC (TPEx): Anxo Pharmaceutical and Diamond Biotechnologyare among five companies applying for OTC status. Other applicants include AI-medical firm aetherAI, Hanchor-KY, H2U Corporation, and genomics leader Genomics BioSci & Tech.
  • Emerging Stock Board: Beyond Elixiron, which is confirmed for January, companies like  Anbogen Therapeutics, GenomeFrontier Therapeutics, EverBot Technology, and NUWA Biomedical are preparing for registration.

This shift indicates a critical transition in Taiwan's biotech industry—moving from pure R&D and single-topic speculation to large-scale commercialization and diversified portfolios.
