PharmaEssentia saw strong performance in April, driven by the success of its rare blood cancer drug, Ropeg. With optimized marketing strategies in the U.S. and steady global market share growth, monthly revenue reached NT$1.23 billion, marking a 3.87% increase from March and an 83.72% year-over-year surge—setting a new monthly revenue record. The company emphasized that its fully upgraded marketing team this year sets the stage for a promising operational outlook.

PharmaEssentia stated that, with the strategic guidance of a McKinsey-style consulting team, it has successfully integrated the medical, marketing, market access, and sales units within its U.S. subsidiary, accelerating business operations and moving steadily toward its annual goals. The company will hold an investor conference on May 12 to present its Q1 financial results, provide updates on global market developments, and outline key business focuses for the year.

Additionally, the pen-type injector version of Ropeg has received a target review date of May 27 from the U.S. FDA, which is expected to enhance the drug’s competitive edge and improve convenience for patients.

In the Americas, PharmaEssentia’s management team traveled to Brazil at the end of April to attend the hematology conference “Sphere 2025,” hosted by its partner Pint-Pharma GmbH, in celebration of Ropeg’s approval by Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency. Brazil ranks among the top three countries outside of Europe with the highest number of PV (polycythemia vera) patients, representing significant commercial potential. According to the partner’s timeline, marketing authorization for Ropeg in Argentina for the treatment of PV is expected within the year, further expanding the drug’s market presence.

Meanwhile, Canadian partner FORUS Therapeutics Inc., during a visit to PharmaEssentia’s Boston office in early May, reported that over a hundred patients are currently awaiting treatment, reflecting the urgent demand for Ropeg in the market.
