SHAREHOPE MEDICINE’s efforts in developing a comprehensive health ecosystem have entered a stage of returns, with both revenue and profit rebounding in the first quarter. The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of NT$1.53. Looking ahead to 2025, General Manager Ching-Wen Liu noted that the impact of reciprocal tariffs on the company is minimal. Subsidiaries that weighed on profits over the past two years are expected to see a turnaround this year. Both revenue and profit are projected to surpass last year’s performance. The "Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance" platform, spearheaded by subsidiary YES Health, aims to increase its independent pharmacy membership from 1,000 to 1,400–1,500 this year, with total procurement volume expected to grow from NT$1.4 billion to NT$2 billion. The next phase will expand into prescription drug procurement for clinics.
SHAREHOPE has been building a digital transformation ecosystem for the healthcare industry, integrating AI into healthcare services. In its recent investor conference, the group stated that the results of its smart healthcare initiatives are beginning to take shape. With steady growth in its core medical business, key subsidiaries have started contributing investment returns. In 2024, the company recorded revenue of NT$4.326 billion, operating profit of NT$178 million, and net profit attributable to the parent company of NT$200 million—year-on-year increases of 11.68%, 49.87%, and 60.65%, respectively—resulting in an EPS of NT$1.53. First-quarter revenue reached NT$1.048 billion, a 7.78% increase over the same period last year, marking the highest Q1 performance in the company’s history and demonstrating stable upward momentum.
In 2025, the group will continue to enhance the expertise and operational synergy of its various business units. A key strategy is the full integration of AI across all stages of medical care—before, during, and after consultations—covering personalized health screenings, primary clinics, senior housing, community pharmacies, and smart nutrition and fitness services. The goal is to deliver precise, personalized services and align fully with Taiwan’s national health policy development.
YES Health, in collaboration with the Federation of Taiwan Pharmacists Association, launched the "Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance" platform at the beginning of 2024. Membership has already surpassed 1,000 pharmacies, and the benefits of collective procurement are becoming increasingly evident. The platform reached NT$1.4 billion in procurement volume in 2024, a 45.8% increase from 2023. This year, the Alliance is also providing joint procurement services for nearly 4,000 clinics and coordinating pharmaceutical purchases with the Missioncare Medicine hospital group. Beyond tangible product sales, the initiative is also starting to generate value through brand exposure and cross-industry collaborations.
Looking ahead to 2025, Ching-Wen Liu remarked that while the overall pace of growth in the medical industry may remain slow, SHAREHOPE is preparing for workforce shortages by strategically pursuing vertical integration both upstream and downstream to address gaps in physician and nursing staff availability. On the global front, tariff issues are expected to have little effect, with 95% of operations remaining unaffected. Overall, both revenue and profit are expected to outperform last year, reversing the pressure from loss-making subsidiaries experienced over the past two years.
Regarding the development of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Alliance, SHAREHOPE emphasized that YES Health plays a vital role within the group’s health ecosystem. Promotion of the platform began last year, and membership from independent pharmacies has now reached approximately 1,000. This year, the goal is to expand that number to 1,400–1,500. At the same time, the company will continue to increase procurement volume, targeting NT$2 billion for 2025. The second phase of development will further extend into the prescription drug sector related to clinics.
