BenQ Medical Technology and Brain Navi Biotechnology Partner to Tap into China's Billion-Dollar Surgical Robotics MarketMar 20, 2025

BenQ Medical Technology and Brain Navi Biotechnology Co., Ltd. have announced a strategic partnership. As the leading surgical table brand in mainland China, BenQ Medical will leverage its extensive overseas resources and distribution channels, combining them with Brain Navi’s cutting-edge technologies to advance the medical device registration, manufacturing, and commercialization of the NaoTrac neurosurgical navigation robot in mainland China. This collaboration aims to accelerate NaoTrac’s entry into the Chinese medical market and drive the precision and intelligent development of neurosurgical procedures.

According to market research by Frost & Sullivan, the surgical robotics market in mainland China is projected to reach RMB 22.45 billion (over NT$100 billion) by 2026 and expand several-fold to RMB 70.85 billion by 2030. With the growing trend of domestic production of medical devices in China, BenQ Medical plans to capitalize on its robust local manufacturing and sales experience to expedite the clinical adoption of the NaoTrac neurosurgical navigation robot in China.

Hsin-Pao Kuan, General Manager of BenQ Medical Technology, stated that with the continuous advancement of AI and robotics, smart healthcare has become a key global trend in the medical industry. He emphasized that this collaboration represents a critical step for BenQ Medical in integrating surgical robotics and expanding the application of intelligent operating rooms. Moving forward, BenQ Medical and Brain Navi will deepen their cooperation to jointly promote the widespread adoption of smart medical devices, bringing new breakthroughs to the healthcare sector and delivering more precise, safe, and intelligent medical services for patients.

Jerry Chieh Hsiao, CEO of Brain Navi Biotechnology, noted that the NaoTrac neurosurgical navigation robot has already obtained CE certification from the European Union and approval from Taiwan’s TFDA. Featuring advanced AI-integrated machine vision and robotic arm technologies, NaoTrac is already in use at medical centers across Asia, Latin America, and Europe. He emphasized that this partnership with BenQ Medical marks a powerful alliance that will support Brain Navi in entering the relatively unfamiliar mainland China market while strengthening its global expansion—an effort described as adding wings to a tiger.

BenQ Medical will rely on its established production and sales experience in mainland China to introduce Taiwan’s innovative medical technologies to the Chinese market. The collaboration aims to seize opportunities in the neurosurgical robotics sector and bring greater health benefits to patients.
