On the evening of the 7th, Oneness Biotech announced that its new drug for diabetic foot ulcers, FESPIXON® Cream, passed the initial formal review by China's National Healthcare Security Administration (NHSA) on that same day. This marks the first step towards securing inclusion in the national health insurance scheme for FESPIXON®.
Recently, Microbio Co. announced that it had officially licensed FESPIXON® to China Resources Double-Crane Pharmaceutical, a subsidiary of the state-owned China Resources Group. The two parties have entered into a 20-year long-term agreement, under which China Resources Double-Crane will hold exclusive sales rights for FESPIXON® in the Chinese market. According to the contract, Microbio Co. will initially receive a signing bonus of approximately 1.1 billion NTD, with additional milestone payments and sales revenue shares contingent upon meeting certain conditions, with no upper limit.
According to Microbio Co.'s plans, FESPIXON® Cream is expected to launch in August of this year, with the aim of securing inclusion in China's national health insurance by November. Starting from January next year, the drug will be available under the insurance program, benefiting those in China who need it.
On the evening of the 7th, Oneness Biotech further stated that the NHSA had announced the "2024 National Basic Medical Insurance, Work Injury Insurance, and Maternity Insurance Drug Catalog Adjustment Preliminary Review List," in which FESPIXON® Cream successfully passed the initial formal review.
