Benefiting continuously from the post-epidemic surge in opportunities for replacing artificial intraocular lenses, ICARES Medicus achieved a historical high revenue of NT$68.28 million in March. Accumulated revenue for January to March reached NT$161 million, marking an 8.5% year-on-year growth and setting a new quarterly revenue record. The company's research and development focus on materials related to artificial intraocular lens replacement surgery, along with joint bone materials in the field of joint research projects and a direction that facilitates easier use by doctors, has deepened the market penetration of its products.
Especially noteworthy is the company's independently developed artificial intraocular lens injector (product name: Pusher), which enables practicing physicians to use it more conveniently, quickly, and safely. Recently, it officially obtained a medical device production license in China. It is expected to be launched in the Chinese market in the second half of this year. Considering that the Chinese cataract surgery market reached RMB 23.1 billion in 2021 and is estimated to reach RMB 33.85 billion by 2025, the potential widespread adoption of the ICARES Medicus Pusher in the Chinese market could significantly boost the company's operational performance. It's worth keeping a close eye on its performance.
