Compal Electronics President Martin Wong attended the 34th Annual International Society for Medical Innovation and Technology Conference (iSMIT 2023) hosted by Chang Bing Show Chwan Memorial Hospital and signed a MOU with Show Chwan Healthcare System for cooperation in medical technology. Wong said that Taiwan's medical care is of international standard, and he hopes that cooperation between the ICT industry and healthcare can be promoted to the world and cultivates a new unicorn in the medtech space.
The cooperation includes the future investment in medical technology from planning to execution, Show Chwan Healthcare System Superintendent Dr. Wayne Huangsaid, in recent years, Show Chwan focused on supporting the development of healthcare technology innovation, in the form of intelligent healthcare alliance to support Taiwan's innovations in the global market, the strategic cooperation will enable Show Chwan have more resources to better respond to the challenges facing healthcare innovation.
Following the MOU, the first stage will be for the related companies of both parties, Shennona and MedicalTek, to discuss the sales of surgical imaging solutions and overseas market development. Shennona is a subsidiary of Compal, focuses on the integration of software and hardware for imaging solutions.
Shennona has been actively expanding into the Southeast Asian market recently, and in July this year, the company just announced that the portable ultrasound imaging solutions have successfully entered Thailand. Shennona looks forward to working with MedicalTek to expand market shares.
