Avalue Technology Inc., an industrial PC/computer manufacturer, announced a strategic partnership with Biomedica to focus on developing AI-aided disease screening systems by integrating AI intelligence and HPC (high-speed computing).
The partnership will accelerate the digital transformation of the medical field and bring better healthcare services, said Avalue, adding that the company's AI-ready system, which uses Intel's high-end Xeon medical systems and edge computing systems, will support Biomedica's AI disease screening system.
Avalue added that Biomedica's AI disease screening system can provide fast and accurate screening for osteoporosis, cervical smear, bladder cancer and breast cancer gene BRCA.
The AI screening solution for osteoporosis has already received approvals from Taiwan, Vietnam and Singapore, and is undergoing approval process in Thailand, Malaysia and Japan, and is expected to be available for sale in 2024.
Avalue believes that the development of AI technology will bring about significant changes and enhancements to the medical field, which will not only help promote pre-screening and prevention of diseases, improve diagnostic accuracy and speed, but also discover new therapies and treatment options through big data, thus promoting the development of medical technology.
