Partnership wanted
Introduction
In 2016, the Global Expert Consensus Meeting of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) in the United States redefined the terminology for pressure ulcers and adopted the term Medical Device Related Pressure Injury (MDRPI) to include pressure injuries caused by medical devices. In addition to common bodily pressure injuries, there are various types of MDRPI commonly encountered in clinical practice, including injuries caused by various types of drainage tubes, medical injection valves, and oxygen therapy masks. Currently, the preventive measures for pressure injuries in clinical settings are ineffective and time-consuming. Our team has invented corresponding decompression devices for different causes of pressure injuries. These devices combine low-resilience foam, breathable and skin-friendly films, and other related materials to design a variety of decompression devices. These devices achieve the goals of pressure reduction, immobilization, shear reduction, and waterproof breathability while considering comfort, aesthetics, durability, and ease of use. They greatly enhance patient safety and are suitable for a wide range of applications, making them highly valuable for commercial use and promotion. All products have obtained new utility or invention patents in the Republic of China (Taiwan) and have passed clinical trials for official production and sale.
