Advantages of endoscopic fusion surgery over traditional forms of surgery, or even minimal invasive fusion surgery, include the ability of the endoscope to visualize different angles under higher levels of magnification, ensuring the complete removal of the intervertebral disc and endplate preparation for the subsequent fusion procedure. Through a surgical wound of only 26 mm (the diameter of a 50 NT coin), endoscopic fusion surgery is able to implant the same cage and pedicle screws that are implanted in traditional spine surgery.
