Google Taiwan celebrated its 20th anniversary yesterday by announcing a landmark collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) and the National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) to launch the "AI Health Network." This global-first initiative aims to transition AI from a clinical diagnostic tool into a pillar of daily personal health management.

• Gemini-Powered Integration: Starting this March, the NHIA will integrate a Google Gemini-driven AI Health Assistant into its "My Health Bank" App, which currently serves over 10 million users. With explicit user consent, the AI will analyze clinical evidence and personal health metrics to provide tailored wellness advice.
• High-Level Endorsement: The launch event was attended by key leaders, including Google Taiwan GM Tina Lin, Google Health Strategy Lead Amy McDonough, MOHW Minister Shih Chung-liang, and NHIA Director-General Chen Liang-yu.
• Clinical Precedents: The initiative builds on Google’s existing footprint in Taiwan, such as the deployment of the MedLM model at China Medical University Hospital for precision oncology and AI-assisted ultrasound screening at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital.
