NT$50 Billion "Healthy Taiwan" Initiative Launches: Medical AI Providers Secure Five-Year Order BacklogFeb 09, 2026

The Executive Yuan has approved and the Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) has budgeted nearly NT$50 billion for the five-year "Healthy Taiwan Deep-Cultivation Project," which officially commenced this quarter. Recognized as the largest AI medical initiative in MOHW history, the project aims to fully digitize Taiwan’s healthcare system with AI. An initial budget of over NT$10 billion has already been deployed, with interim reports expected by April 2026.

  • Primary Beneficiaries: Leading medical AI firms including Ever Fortune.AI (EFAI), Acer Medical, and aetherAI are seeing a surge in demand.
  • Ever Fortune.AI: Reports a full order book for 2026, with revenue contributions starting as early as March. Orders include medical AI software, cloud biomedical platforms, and AI care robots from its subsidiary, Ever Fortune Link.
  • Acer Medical: Chairman Lien Chia-en confirmed at least three major collaborations, including a project with Mackay Memorial Hospital focused on auxiliary diagnostics for pediatric developmental delays and neurological screenings. Their VeriSee DR AI is also being used for diabetic retinopathy screening in partnership with medical associations in New Taipei and Tainan.
  • aetherAI: With a 70% domestic market share in digital pathology, CEO Joe Yeh noted that the company successfully assisted clients in securing grants for digital pathology and AI diagnostic systems, which will significantly bolster revenue through Q3 2026.
