Dr. Chen Wei-ming, President of TVGH, and Richard Hu, General Manager of Philips Taiwan, signed a systematic Research Collaboration Framework Agreement on February 3. This elevates their 2020 partnership from individual projects to a long-term, integrated clinical strategic alliance.

• Key Focus Areas: The collaboration centers on AI, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Cardiology, and Critical Care. By involving TVGH clinicians earlier in the product design phase, Philips can refine technologies based on direct clinical needs.
• Critical Care AI: Leveraging a decade of TVGH intensive care data, the partners developed the Time-varying Hemodynamic Early Warning Score (TvHEWS). Published in Critical Care, this AI system analyzes data hourly to predict hemodynamic instability, allowing physicians to identify high-risk patients seven hours earlier than traditional methods.
• Cardiology Automation: The alliance is also validating AI modules for automated standard views and measurements in echocardiography to reduce operator variability and improve diagnostic throughput.
• Global Scaling: Philips will utilize its global network to help TVGH explore pathways for the industrialization and international application of its research outcomes.
