To accelerate the co-prosperity of AI, semiconductors, and advanced technology ecosystems, the NDC's national startup brand, Startup Island TAIWAN, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the "Taiwan x Phoenix Corporate Innovation Alliance." The ceremony was attended by Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and representatives from TSMC and Cadence.

Strategic Synergy:

• Proven Success in Biotech: Deputy Minister Fang-Guan Jan noted that Startup Island TAIWAN has already collaborated with the Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) to successfully land several Taiwanese biotech and MedTech startups in the Phoenix area.
• Ecosystem Integration: The alliance will leverage TSMC’s presence in Phoenix as a catalyst to expand cooperation into AI and semiconductor sectors.
• Resource Support: Tesoro Ventures and GPEC will provide mechanisms for Taiwanese startups to enter the US market, utilizing resources from SelectUSA and industry partners to foster international competitiveness.
