Innolux Leadership Transition: Jeffrey Yang Promoted to General Manager, James Yang to Focus on Healthcare BusinessMay 16, 2025

In response to corporate transformation and mid-to-long-term succession planning, Innolux announced on the 15th a leadership transition. Executive Vice President Jeffrey Yang has been promoted to General Manager, taking full responsibility for operational management. Former General Manager James Yang will serve exclusively as Chairman of InnoCare Optoelectronics and as a board member of both Innolux and its foundation, focusing on the healthcare business development and integration.

New General Manager Jeffrey Yang holds a master's degree in chemical engineering from National Cheng Kung University. He began his career at AUO in 1993 as Deputy Factory Director, moved to HannsTouch in 2002 as Factory Director, and joined Innolux the same year. With over 20 years in the TFT panel industry and successfully expanding into the touch panel sector in 2010, he possesses comprehensive experience across the panel industry.

This leadership handover reflects Innolux’s commitment to the management philosophy of "dedicated roles and seamless succession," aiming to strengthen strategic deployment and execution efficiency, laying a solid foundation for organizational transformation.

Former General Manager James Yang will dedicate his efforts to InnoCare Optoelectronics, leading the team to capture growth opportunities in the biomedical applications market, targeting sectors with long-term potential such as medical and industrial inspection. InnoCare combines independent R&D with strategic partnerships to extend core technologies from TFT to CMOS and infrared sensors, enhancing product competitiveness and market penetration. InnoCare expects double growth in revenue and profit for 2024 and will continue focusing on product development and commercialization in smart healthcare and sensing technologies to expand its global biomedical footprint.

“This leadership transition is a key part of Innolux’s ‘666 Transformation Plan,’” said Innolux Chairman Jim Hung. The company has entered the second phase of breakthrough transformation, actively promoting AI Vision applications, smart environment integration, and organizational streamlining, laying a strong foundation for the third phase of “Innolux united for sustainable display.” Moving forward, Innolux will assign dedicated leaders according to the market characteristics of each business unit, adopting a flexible, professional, specialized, and full-time organizational structure to meet industry challenges.
