Wistron Medical Technology Deploys Keeogo Exoskeleton Robot in 35 Medical InstitutionsMay 07, 2025

Wistron Medical Technology, a subsidiary of Wistron dedicated to medical technology development, launched its Keeogo lower-limb exoskeleton robot in Taiwan in 2019. The robot is now in use at 35 medical institutions and universities, and its market reach has expanded to the United States, Canada, Southeast Asia, mainland China, and the Middle East.

To promote the widespread adoption of smart healthcare across Taiwan, Wistron Medical Technology has announced the launch of the “Keeogo Donation Program.” This initiative calls on individuals and businesses to join efforts to provide AI-powered exoskeleton robots to healthcare facilities. The goal is to deploy Keeogo robots across all 22 counties and cities in Taiwan by 2025, ensuring that patients in cities, towns, and remote islands will have access to this advanced technology, ultimately contributing to the realization of a healthy Taiwan.

Since its launch in Taiwan in 2019, the Keeogo exoskeleton robot has gained significant attention due to its lightweight and fully functional design. Weighing only 6.8 kilograms, the robot is equipped with an advanced sensing system that helps patients with walking, climbing stairs, and other movement-assisted actions.

The product has been recognized by several major medical centers and large healthcare institutions, including Taipei Veterans General Hospital, China Medical University Hospital, Hualien Tzu Chi Hospital, and Mackay Memorial Hospital. As of March 2025, Keeogo is being used in 35 medical institutions and universities in Taiwan, with its marketing footprint extending to the United States, Canada, Southeast Asia, mainland China, and the Middle East.

Wistron Medical Technology has long been committed to the development of medical technology, advancing smart healthcare to new milestones. Upholding its belief in creating societal benefits through medical products, Chairman Donald Hwang, together with Taipei 101 Chairman Chia Yong-Jie, recently donated a Keeogo exoskeleton robot to Keelung Hospital of the Ministry of Health and Welfare at the 2025 Taipei 101 Charity Vertical Marathon event. This donation aims to provide a new rehabilitation opportunity for local patients with mobility impairments.

Chairman Hwang stated, “Through the power of medical technology, we can help patients with mobility issues regain their independence and improve their quality of life. This is the original purpose and responsibility of Wistron Medical Technology. By holding the donation ceremony during a charity marathon, we hope to inspire others and ensure that advanced medical technology benefits people throughout Taiwan.”

Keelung Hospital Director Lin San-Qi expressed gratitude to Wistron Medical Technology and other supporters, stating that the hospital will make full use of this advanced equipment. The medical team, including 15 professional physical therapists, will be trained to apply the technology in clinical settings, ensuring that patients in the Keelung area can enjoy high-tech rehabilitation services without needing to travel far.
