On the evening of April 14, Polaris Pharmaceuticals-KY announced that it had signed commercialization and distribution agreements with two international companies—Tabuk Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company and Er-Kim Pharmaceuticals—for its novel anticancer metabolic therapy, ADI-PEG 20.

Polaris stated that the agreement with Tabuk Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company will take effect on April 14, 2025, and will remain valid for six years. Under the agreement, Polaris grants Tabuk exclusive commercial rights to market ADI-PEG 20 for the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) in Saudi Arabia and seven countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. Tabuk currently serves patients in 17 countries and territories across the MENA region and plans to further expand its presence in the area.

In addition, the agreement with Er-Kim Pharmaceuticals also takes effect on April 14, 2025, and will last for eight years. Under this agreement, Polaris grants Er-Kim exclusive distribution rights for ADI-PEG 20 in 36 markets within the EMEA region—which includes Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, North Africa, and the Mediterranean—for the treatment of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM). Er-Kim will be responsible for the sales of ADI-PEG 20 in the licensed markets.
