Qisda and Tri-Service General Hospital Establish Taiwan's First Sports Medicine and Intelligent Rehabilitation CenterDec 18, 2024

The Sports Medicine and Intelligent Rehabilitation Center at Tri-Service General Hospital in Taipei officially opened yesterday (17th). As Taiwan's first center integrating four core areas of sports therapy, it offers comprehensive, one-stop professional treatment services ranging from sports medicine to intelligent rehabilitation for the public and professional athletes. Qisda played a key role in the center's planning and construction, leveraging cutting-edge AI software, hardware, and integrated intelligent systems to deliver advanced healthcare solutions that seamlessly merge medicine and technology.

The center encompasses four main treatment zones: the Physical Therapy Zone, the Sports Therapy Zone, the Regenerative Medicine Zone, and the Physical Fitness Zone, providing holistic rehabilitation and health management services:

  1. Physical Therapy Zone: Employing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to accelerate recovery, alleviate pain, and reduce inflammation.
  2. Sports Therapy Zone: Utilizing personalized exercise prescriptions combined with AI monitoring systems to track rehabilitation progress and generate reports, enhancing patients' muscle strength and mobility.
  3. Regenerative Medicine Zone: Incorporating biotechnologies such as stem cell therapy to promote tissue repair and regeneration, improving outcomes for sports injuries.
  4. Physical Fitness Zone: Using AI-driven health data analytics to assist users in comprehensive health management and monitoring, preventing potential future sports injuries.

Shih-Hsiu Huang, General Manager of Qisda's Healthcare Business Group, expressed pride in participating in this forward-looking project. He emphasized Qisda’s commitment to advancing sports medical technology through research and development while fostering collaborations to benefit patients and professional athletes. Huang highlighted the center as a premier environment for innovative sports medicine that combines cutting-edge technology with medical needs.

Qisda drew inspiration for the project from Stanford University's advanced sports medicine center, demonstrating its leadership in Taiwan's smart healthcare market. The company was responsible for designing and integrating the AI systems, hardware, and software within the center, offering precise data analysis and personalized rehabilitation reports.

The center's digital solutions include automated rehabilitation progress tracking, real-time data analytics, intelligent imaging for symptom analysis, virtual AI doctor assistants, sports strategy room planning, integration of handheld ultrasound and orthopedic magnetic shockwave equipment, and interactive AI training modules. These features represent a forward-thinking approach that surpasses existing market standards and paves the way for next-generation healthcare design.

The inauguration of the Sports Medicine and Intelligent Rehabilitation Center at Tri-Service General Hospital marks a milestone in integrating Taiwanese technology with sports medicine. It is set to benefit a broader population in need of rehabilitation and health management, becoming a new benchmark for intelligent sports healthcare in Taiwan.
