AmCad BioMed announced on November 29 that its sleep apnea detection system, AmCAD-UO, has successfully entered the Middle Eastern market with a new order from Dubai. Following its expansion into South Korea and Thailand, this milestone marks a significant step in the company’s global strategy. Additionally, AmCad BioMed showcased its handheld ultrasound system with real-time AI diagnostic capabilities at MEDICA 2024, drawing significant attention and boosting optimism for future global business opportunities.
The world's largest medical equipment exhibition, MEDICA, held this month in Düsseldorf, Germany, proved highly fruitful for AmCad BioMed. The company’s AI-powered Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) systems, tailored for thyroid tumor and breast screenings, attracted nearly 100 client inquiries—double the usual traffic. Visitors came from all continents, with about 30% from Asia and 25% from Europe, including several major international distributors. This success is expected to enhance AmCad’s global brand recognition and foster partnerships with distributors worldwide.
The global POCUS market is projected to exceed $400 million by 2030. According to Yi-Li Lee, General Manager of AmCad BioMed, the company has already developed a POCUS system with real-time AI recognition for thyroid tumors, with AI functionalities for breast and liver diagnostics currently under development. The aim is to broaden application scenarios, enabling healthcare professionals to conduct fast, accurate ultrasound examinations across diverse settings and assisting physicians in delivering precise, timely diagnoses in interdisciplinary care, particularly in regions with limited medical resources.
AmCAD-UO, the company’s innovative overnight-free sleep apnea detection system, previously garnered significant interest at the Arab Health exhibition earlier this year, the second-largest healthcare show globally. This led to the recent Dubai order. The system also attracted inquiries from dozens of international clients during its presentation at MEDICA, paving the way for future collaborations.
Yi-Li Lee emphasized the strong performance of both the AI-powered POCUS system and the sleep apnea detection system at MEDICA, expressing confidence in forging partnerships with more international distributors. The company remains committed to expanding its presence in key global markets.
