As Taiwan prepares to enter an aging society, the "Healthy Ageing Tech Show," organized by the IBMI & RBMP, in collaboration with the Industrial Development Bureau, the Digital Industry Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), was grandly opened on the 2nd at Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1. The event focuses on the three major needs of elderly life: "Health Care," "Happy Living," and "Smart Services," outlining key directions for the healthy aging industry.
Liu Hsin, Chairman of the Taiwan Game Industry Promotion Association (TGIPA), expressed the significance of representing the digital services industry at the Digital Senior Living Pavilion. According to related domestic and international studies, games are an effective way to keep the elderly healthy and happy. Proper gaming helps seniors keep their brains active, slows cognitive decline and the risk of dementia, and increases opportunities for social interaction, reducing feelings of loneliness. Additionally, many games require hand-eye or limb coordination, which helps maintain physical function and agility.
At the exhibition, TGIPA collaborated with Lager Network Technologies and YUTUO GAMES Inc. to showcase the award-winning "Game Bike" fitness game and "Happy Town," a cultural experience game that won the Special Jury Prize at this year's Taiwan Original Game Awards. These displays aim to inspire Taiwanese game developers to create more suitable digital entertainment content for elderly players, enhancing their digital senior living experience.
