Highlights of the Healthy Ageing Tech Show: AI, Telecom, and Senior LivingAug 03, 2024

The Healthy Ageing Tech Show has commenced, and the organizer, IBMI, announced yesterday (2nd) that this exhibition showcases the latest trends in combining technology with elderly health. The event highlights three major themes: AI, telecom, and senior living, predicting a new future for the industry.

Firstly, AI is revolutionizing the medical field, providing technological solutions for osteoporosis, stroke, and elderly depression. Acer Medical's "VeriOsteo OP," Taiwan's first smart medical device using chest X-ray imaging to analyze bone density, made its debut. Additionally, the "VeriOsteo OP Cloud" was unveiled, allowing individuals to manage their health status via LINE.

Secondly, the telecom industry is focusing on health management apps, collaborating with tech companies to promote healthy lifestyles. ASUS's "ASUS HealthHub" offers physiological data recording and real-time professional consultation.

Thirdly, the global senior living market, valued at over 300 trillion dollars, sees companies like Taiwan Secom and Taiwan Shin Kong Security using smart technology to safeguard the elderly. Radium’s senior living community "Le Tao Ju" provides a mixed-use complex for aging in place and intergenerational living. Sampo's "Ju Life" combines smart home appliances and security systems, offering physiological measurement, health consultation, chronic disease prevention, and healthy diet plans.
