The highly anticipated 2024 Taiwan Healthcare Expo, Asia-Pacific's largest AI healthcare event, is set to return on December 5th. This exhibition will feature top cross-disciplinary institutions, companies, and partners from the upstream and downstream of the health industry chain, showcasing innovative medical technologies, high-quality efficient products, and robust R&D and production capabilities. This year, the four major OEM giants—Quanta, Wistron, Inventec, and Compal—have confirmed their participation, aiming to tap into both domestic and international markets and seize lucrative medical business opportunities.
The Taiwan Healthcare Expo is primarily organized by IBMI & RBMP. The 2024 edition will continue to focus on smart healthcare, precision medicine, and all-age health across nine key areas. It will link global medical, technology, and distribution partners in strategic alliances to accelerate the digital transformation of healthcare, lead global medical technology innovation, and expand the global health industry market and opportunities by integrating AI and other advanced elements.
All four major Taiwanese OEMs have secured positions in the medical equipment supply chain. Each has approached the medical field from different angles. Compal, with its deep roots in the medical industry, has partnered with several domestic medical institutions and launched its self-developed ablation technology products in overseas markets. Quanta, the first to collaborate with NVIDIA, has leveraged its expertise in image analysis, medical computers, and mobile nursing products to gain market share, showcasing its innovations prominently at last year's exhibition.
Inventec has made significant strides through its subsidiaries, Inventec Appliances and Good Future Biomed. Last year's exhibition saw great interest in its cancer tumor screening derivative technology, "CTC Detection," which allows for early tumor detection through blood tests and analysis. This year, Inventec will again participate through Inventec Appliances, but will be located in a different exhibition area on the first floor, near the Military Health System and Taipei City Hospital, making it a notable point of interest.
Wistron, hailed as the "2024 AI Biggest Winner," has benefited greatly from the AI boom. To capitalize on the rising trend of smart healthcare, Wistron established "Wistron Medical Technology" in 2016, leveraging its extensive technological and supply chain capabilities to create a medical product and service ecosystem, enhancing the industry's value chain. Compal will be represented at the exhibition by its subsidiary, MacroHi Biotech. Meanwhile, the Compal team itself is confirmed to participate in the "First Ageing Healthy Tech Show" in August, generating high expectations within the industry.
