Post-Pandemic Medical and Vaccine Demand Booms: Four Major Companies Accelerate Overseas ExpansionJul 15, 2024

With the global biotechnology and healthcare sectors diversifying and heating up, companies such as AmCad BioMed, Adimmune, Enimmune, and General Biologicals are accelerating their international sales expansion, reporting positive developments.

AmCad BioMed's overnight-free ultrasonic intelligent sleep detection system has successfully obtained certification in South Korea and completed shipments there. In June, they also completed shipments to the University of the Pacific (UOP) Dental School in the United States, contributing to a 30% revenue increase compared to the same period last year. This follows their previous international shipment to Thailand.

Enimmune's enterovirus 71 (EnVAX-A71) vaccine has met the efficacy benchmarks in its Phase III clinical trials, achieving a protection rate of 99.12%, making it the most effective enterovirus 71 vaccine currently on the global market. The company plans to apply for drug licenses in Vietnam, other Southeast Asian countries, China, and Northeast Asia, aiming to obtain the license in Vietnam by 2026 to capture the market for over 20 million newborns annually in Southeast Asia.

Adimmune has secured nearly 50% of the domestic public flu vaccine orders, supplying 3.2 million doses. They have also received overseas orders, including flu vaccine bulk from Eastern Europe and finished flu vaccines for Southeast Asia and China, accelerating their operational momentum. Their revenue in June reached NT$72 million, an annual increase of 89.94%.

General Biologicals is deepening its market presence in Europe, South America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan. This year, they made further inroads in South America by signing a three-year exclusive distribution agreement with a Brazilian distributor. The agreement covers the sale of ELISA serum antibody reagents, hepatitis A/B/C/D detection reagents, and CLIA chemiluminescence immunoassay and molecular diagnostic PCR equipment and reagents, boosting growth momentum.

AmCad BioMed is rapidly advancing its domestic and international business simultaneously. The "AmCAD-UO" system will be deployed in medical institutions such as National Taiwan University Hospital and the Good Liver Clinic, and they will also launch a new corporate health check model. Through post-market clinical studies, they are expanding application fields. The "AmCAD-UT" system, which combines real-time AI intelligent analysis with point-of-care ultrasound, is in discussions with several major ultrasound manufacturers to jointly capture the ultrasound detection market.

Enimmune's pediatric vaccines include the enterovirus 71 vaccine, and they are also collaborating with the National Health Research Institutes to develop the coxsackievirus vaccine, aiming for market release within three to five years. They are also working on the world's first enterovirus 71 antigen detection reagent and the second-generation "A71+Coxsackie bivalent vaccine."
