AmCad BioMed has achieved a major milestone in its global expansion. The company’s non-overnight ultrasound smart sleep monitoring system has successfully obtained certification in South Korea and completed shipments there. Additionally, shipments to the University of the Pacific (UOP), Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in the United States have been completed, boosting June revenues to 6.01 million NTD, a 30% increase compared to the same period last year.
AmCad has been actively promoting its products both domestically and internationally. In June, the company’s ANCCO Sleep Monitor was shipped to the prestigious UOP, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in the U.S. and also received certification and completed shipments to South Korea. This follows previous exports to Thailand, marking another significant step in their international distribution. Despite a month-on-month revenue decline of 18.1%, the 30% year-on-year growth highlights the company’s expanding market presence.
Statistics indicate that among South Korea's adult population aged 30-69, approximately 8.15 million suffer from sleep apnea, with over 3 million being severe cases. However, South Korea faces a significant shortage of sleep center beds, with an average wait time of over six months for testing. Currently, about 30,000 patients in South Korea use CPAP machines annually, a number expected to rise as testing capacity improves.
The lengthy wait times discourage many from seeking testing. AmCad’s non-overnight "Ultrasound Smart Sleep Monitoring System" addresses this issue by assessing the risk and severity of sleep apnea within 10 minutes while the patient is awake, facilitating early detection and precise treatment.
Chairman Yi -Li Lee emphasized that CPAP machines are one of the most common treatments for sleep apnea. AmCad’s exclusive distributor in South Korea, who also deals in CPAP machines, is an ideal partner due to their extensive experience in distribution channels, fostering strong confidence in the local market promotion efforts.
