Taiwanese manufacturers are taking the lead in developing exosome-based beauty products to compete in the international arena. Among them, UnicoCell has made the fastest progress by developing upstream raw materials and has already entered the Japanese market. Bionet, U-neuron, and Shine-On Biomedical have obtained International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) certification. Additionally, ExoOne Bio and MeriBank have enlisted Nana Tang and Amber An as endorsers, highlighting the industry's momentum.
UnicoCell Chairman Yi-Wen Tsai stated that the company developed high-concentration exosome stem cell secretions (UCCM) as early as 2017 and obtained INCI certification. Currently, cosmetic products developed by UnicoCell are being sold in Japan, with Japanese clinics using UnicoCell's products for hair regrowth treatment.
U-neuron, Shine-On Biomedical, and Bionet have all developed exosome products that have obtained international INCI certification. U-neuron pioneered the global market with deer and sheep amniotic fluid exosome skincare products, which have already been launched.
U-neuron Chairman Feng-ren Jian stated that the company is currently deploying its strategy in two directions. It has launched "Little Deer and Sheep Amniotic Fluid Essence D-AFER" for anti-aging purposes. The company has partnered with Chlitina for distribution in Taiwan and launched sales in January through Chlitina's subsidiary, "KindShare Biomedical." The product will be extensively advertised starting in May, with plans for a swift return to mainland China in the third quarter, accelerating global expansion.
Feng-ren Jian said that U-neuron has also signed a cooperation agreement with VLSC Group, the largest medical beauty chain brand in North America. In addition to expanding into the Canadian market, the two parties will also collaborate to verify the efficacy of deer and sheep amniotic fluid skincare products and seek ODM and OEM business cooperation to expand international markets.
In addition to obtaining INCI certification for "deer antler stem cell exosomes," Shine-On Biomedical has overcome the major challenges of large-scale production of exosomes, focusing on purification, drug loading, transportation, storage, and quality control. The company has optimized exosome purification methods to improve purity, enhanced drug loading efficiency, and effectively reduced production costs. It plans to continue developing a variety of exosome products and actively apply for international sales permits to expand its global market presence.
ExoOne Bio, through its spokesperson endorsement strategy, is promoting itself as the pioneer of human exosome skincare products. Its four developed products were fully available for sale in medical beauty clinics and on its official website at the end of last year.
MeriBank, on the other hand, launched its exosome series skincare products last month and enlisted Amber An as its brand ambassador. General Manager Shi-yang Wu stated that exosomes are currently the hottest star material, and the company is fully prepared to meet market demand.
