Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (I.B.M.I.) will launch the inaugural Healthy Ageing Tech Show. It is reported that the expo, led by the I.B.M.I. as the main organizer and with official support, will involve participation and support from leading technology companies and major financial groups to jointly create a large platform for the integration of elder healthcare and digital in the health industry.
Chi-Huey Wong, President of I.B.M.I., pointed out that the government's past promotion of long-term care plans has provided Taiwan with excellent social welfare conditions. Now, the focus is on the healthy elderly population to drive the value of the elderly industry to reach 3.6 trillion NTD.
I.B.M.I. recently held a promotion committee meeting, chaired jointly by Chi-Huey Wong, President of the Taiwan Productivity Council, and Shen Rong-Jin, advisor to the Taiwan Productivity Council and advisor to the Presidential Office, confirming that the expo will focus on nine main themes, including assistive technology, digital services, elderly Fintech, leisure and entertainment. It invites leading high-tech companies such as ASUS and financial groups such as Taishin Bank to participate in the exhibition. The expo is expected to take place in August this year.
I.B.M.I. stated that this year's Healthy Ageing Tech Show has three main goals: first, to drive the elderly economy by creating a cross-domain alliance and cooperation platform for the elderly industry chain; second, to enhance social participation by providing a one-stop resource platform for connecting the elderly to the digital society; third, to achieve a happy life by promoting elderly health promotion, assistive and care technology implementation.
I.B.M.I. recently invited relevant government departments and foundation research units to participate. In terms of non-governmental organizations, associations in the medical and health fields, such as nursing associations, geriatrics, and long-term care associations, have become co-organizers. In the financial sector, life insurance associations, trust associations, bank associations, and financial technology associations, as well as information software-related associations, textile associations, medical device associations, health and nutrition food associations, and the Taiwan elderly care industry association will all assist.
In this Healthy Ageing Tech Show organized by I.B.M.I., there will be three major exhibition areas: health care, smart services, and happy services, covering nine main themes including care technology, assistive technology, health promotion, smart home, digital services, elderly Fintech, leisure and entertainment, digital learning, and active socialization. I.B.M.I. emphasizes that the expo will be based on the needs of the elderly, inventorying the technology introduction needs from home, community to care institutions, and integrating health, information and communication technology, digital services, and financial cross-domain industry chains to jointly create a demonstration site for elderly health and technology life, promote venue and cross-industry supply and demand connection, and accelerate the integration of surrounding products and services for elderly living.
I.B.M.I. emphasizes that the expo targets elderly health management, assistive products, emerging care technology and services, as well as cloud health big data, mobile care tools, and more.
