Center Ventures aims aims to tap into trillion-dollar market for ADCsJun 01, 2023

President of Center Ventrues, Mr. Rongjin Lin, announced that the company has joined hands with Mycenax Biotech Inc. to allow KriSan Biotech Co., Ltd. to transform and establish a one-stop CDMO service of ADCs for global business.

After the repositioning of the industry value chain, Mycenax will be responsible for the design and GMP production of antibodies and provide the design of ADC drugs, while KriSan will focus on the design of small molecule chemical synthesis drugs and GMP production of ADCs.

The partnership between Mycenax and KriSan will build core values, strengthen ADC small molecule design capabilities, serve early stage ADC drug development companies, leverage KriSan's small molecule design and development capabilities and introduce innovative platform technologies.

According to Lin, the potential global ADC drug market is expected to reach US$40 billion by 2028, reaching NT$1.2 trillion. As of 2022, 13 ADC drugs have been approved for marketing worldwide, seven of which are for solid tumours; more than 500 ADC drugs are in the pre-clinical stage, and ADC drugs are regarded as the next generation of fast-growing biologics. ADC drugs are regarded as the next generation of biopharmaceuticals. China, Japan, Korea and Singapore all regard ADC drugs as a must-have area and have become a popular "next generation CDMO business".

Biopharmaceutical CDMOs (Drug Commissioned Research and Development and OEMs) will be the key to Taiwan's biotech breakthrough. Through innovative technology and resource integration, we hope that Taiwan will be able to link up with the rest of the world and become a key area for biotechnology in Asia.

In addition, Mycenax established its ADC laboratory more than two years ago and last year announced that it was teaming up with KriSan to build a supply chain. The company has also recently launched its exclusive ADC drug feasibility testing platform, which will enable customers who were originally looking for purely antibodies or small molecules to move towards ADCs, and is expected to generate revenue from early R&D investment this year. This year, the company expects to generate early R&D revenue.
