Lotus Pharma hit the second highest revenue in April with cancer drugsMay 11, 2023

Lotus Pharmaceutical's blood cancer drug again arrived in the United States, while sales of its prostate cancer drug in Latin America increased, boosting consolidated revenue for the month to TWD$2.017 billion, up 41.0% from the previous month and doubling from the same period last year, the second highest in its history. Cumulatively, consolidated revenue for the first four months of the year was $6.541 billion, a 57.2% increase over the same period last year. According to Lotus, the revenue growth in April was attributable to several growth drivers, including good sales of Lenalidomide, a blood cancer drug, in overseas markets and improved sales of Enzalutamide (Xtandi), a generic drug for prostate cancer, in Latin America, which contributed to Lotus's revenue growth in overseas markets.

Sales in Asia also continued to grow, with sales in Taiwan increasing 73% year-on-year, driven by the expansion of the newly acquired branded drug Cialis in the pharmacy channel and the overall performance of oncology drugs in Taiwan driven by the oncology drug Alimta. The Company's diversified product portfolio in several key categories, such as osteoporosis, Parkinson's, cough and respiratory medicines, has been a cornerstone of revenue growth.

Lotus will continue to expand its two-way strategy in the Asian market and the US and European markets, and will continue to transform our operations from a pure branded pharmaceutical company to a diversified pharmaceutical company with a diversified portfolio of branded drugs, branded drugs, 505(b)2 and new drugs. At the same time, Maxxis has spared no effort in improving its production efficiency and customer service in order to boost the company's global expansion and create operational synergy.
