Hi-Clearance Inc. has recently announced that it has been approved by Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission to extend the fundraising period by three months due to CNY holidays. The company is conservative towards its operation in 2023, mainly because last year's fast screening contributed $800 million in revenue, and the number of patients in the renal dialysis market was also affected by the epidemic, so this year it will actively pursue the sleep apnea market and plan to open two more sleep treatment centres. Hi-Clearance also looks to increasing revenue through its franchise of Finnish orthopedic products.
Hi-Clearance's 2022 revenue stood at $4.689 billion, a record-growth 27.3% annually, with EPS $6.95 in the first three quarters and is expected to exceed $8 for the year. However, last year, the growth mainly came from the sales of home-use, Korea-branded saliva rapid test. As sales of rapid tests slumpped, the company's revenue is projected to be affected.
Looking ahead to 2023, the company will continue to explore the sleep apnea market. At present, there is already one sleep centre and two more are planned to be opened this year, mainly because there are many brands for patients to choose from when they are tested in hospitals, so the company hopes to increase contact with consumers through the sleep centre and expect to bring in revenue contributions. At present, the annual revenue from respiratory sleep is NT$300 million, which is mainly contributed by respiratory products.
In addition, Hi-Clearance has recently added an orthopaedic fast-track product to its portfolio. It has previously acquired the distribution rights for Finland's orthopaedic products, which are mainly used for facial injuries, and the product sold approximately $20 million in Taiwan last year.
As for the main hemodialysis product, it is mainly used for kidney patients. However, the number of existing patients has decreased due to the impact of the new epidemic in the past two years, but the dialysis population in Taiwan has been increasing steadily every year.
In addition, the recent increase in franchising costs has not been immediately reflected in the sales price, as there is a time lag in the price increase, coupled with some long-term contracts, which cannot be reflected to revenue immediately. Overall, the outlook for this year's operations is conservative.
Hi-Clearance has planned to issue 4,000,000 units in cash. In addition to its own warehouse in the north, the warehouse in the south-central region must also be built to comply with the Medical Devices Act and the Pharmaceutical Act in order to meet the GDP standards.
