AmCad Biomed, PhytoHealth make headways in medical device and drug approvalFeb 01, 2023

PhytoHealth Corp., a subsidiary of the Maywufa Healthcare Group's, is expected to launch its second new drug Oraphine® capsule in Taiwan this year whilst sourcing overseas sales partners. AmCad Biomed's product AmCAD-UO for obstructive sleep apnea is anticipated too, to obtain its clearance in Korea this year. AmCad is also working on establishing its demostration site at the Stanford Sleep Medicine Center. 

Maywufa continues to adopt a multi-brand strategy for consumers based on consumer behaviours, which is the main reason for its top market share. In order to continue to enhance its competitiveness, Meiwuhua has spent NT$1 billion to upgrade its existing hairdressing plant and invest to convert an old facility into new one that has met GMP and green building requirements. 

Maywufa's afficiated company, PhytoHealth, its prescription drug PG2® Lyo injection has been covered by Taiwan's national health insurance since March 2021, driving growth in the out-of-pocket sales. In addition, PhytoHealth continues to conduct post-marketing clinical studies to expand the range of indications and create greater value and demand.

Another new drug, Oraphine® capsule by PytoHealth, is expected to be launched in Taiwan this year and overseas sales partners will be sought simutaneously to boost revenue. According to the company, it has been working on the field of oral painkillers for a long time, and has successfully developed an injectable painkiller for moderate to severe pain into an oral dosage form, and is the first oral nalbuphine drug in the world.

AmCad Biomedical's two flagship products, AmCAD-UO and  AmCAD-UT®, continue to expand in country and outwardly. In addition, a post-market clinical study in Switzerland will be conducted in the second quarter in the hopes of being covered by EU's health insurance.
