Inventec's revenue sets record in 2022Jan 10, 2023

As a result of the accelerated reversal of the PC market in the second half of the year, Inventec shipped 1.4 million units of laptop computers in December last year, continuing to be at the lowest level in the past two years. However, consolidated revenue for the year rose by 4.2% to a record high of NT$541.748 billion.

Although its laptop shipments fell below 20 million last year to 19.9 million units, the Group's outlook for 2023 is optimistic, thanks to the increasing visibility of laptop orders, clear growth momentum in the server business, and new orders from its subsidiary, Inventec Appliances, for smart device-related products. On the other hand, the Group's 5G AIoT products, which it has been working on for years, will bear fruit.

Inventec Appliances focuses on three major product lines, namely smart healthcare, cloud-based health management and precision medicine. In recent years, the "Chiline HomeCare" physiological measurement system, which has been gradually introduced to many hospitals in Taiwan, has also been successfully launched overseas in markets such as Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong.

As the company continues to expand into domestic and international healthcare facilities, its product lines will also expand. In addition to a blood oxygen respiratory monitoring system, which has been introduced to sleep centres in northern medical institutions, the company will also be launching a tri-mode thermometer in Q1 this year, as well as a urine flow meter, physical and mental energy analyzer and a smart belt.

In the field of smart healthcare, the "Siline SmartMed Infusion-Pump", which was previously approved as a medical device in 2021, has already cooperated with Chang Bing Show Chwan International Medical Center and Taipei Medical University Hospital for field validation last year, and will continue to expand its introduction to medical institutions in Taiwan this year and is expected to be further promoted overseas next year.

The "IronMag" circulating tumor cell (CTC) auto inspection system is fully automated, which developed over a five-year period using its exclusive screening technology.

The company has already been collaborated with medical institutions from the north to the south of Taiwan, incl. Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Ten Chen Hospital, Show Chwan Hospital, Feng-Yuan Hospital and Union Clinical Laboratory, and has recently collaborated with life insurance companies to launch health promotion spillover products to accelerate its commercialization.
