SOFIVA Genomics partners with Roche Diagnostics to launch comprehensive cancer genetic testNov 03, 2022

SOFIVA Genomics introduces the Roche Diagnostics AVENIO Tumor Tissue Comprehensive Profiling (CGP) Kit, a comprehensive cancer genetic panel analysis kit that allows cancer patients in Taiwan to know 324 cancer-related genetic DNA variants in a single test, and includes information related to targeted drugs, immunotherapy and cancer prognosis, at three levels The NAVIFY Mutation Profiler database containing information on FDA-approved drugs in Taiwan is used for the tertiary analysis. The NAVIFY Mutation Profiler database contains information on FDA-approved drugs. In particular, the test is performed directly in the Taiwan laboratory, which reduces the waiting time for reports.

Since the launch of HRD for ovarian, breast and prostate cancers in the first half of this year, SOFIVA has introduced CGP for all types of solid tumours. Unlike the previous practice of testing one gene at a time, CGP tests 324 genes at a time, allowing physicians to obtain more comprehensive information in a shorter time frame and saving valuable retrievals. In view of the international trend, it is believed that CGP genetic testing will become the mainstream of cancer genetic testing in the future and more cancer patients will benefit from CGP testing.

The CGP genetic test provides the latest information on mutation loci, and the most complete testing service from WiseGene to cancer patients. The CGP genetic test provides the most up-to-date information on mutation loci and the most complete testing service for cancer patients.

Mr Hung emphasized that SOFIVA's partnership with Roche Diagnostics to launch the localised CGP test in Taiwan represents WiseGene's ability to deliver world-class testing in Taiwan. This service not only enhances SOFIVA's capabilities in the cancer field, but also provides physicians with faster and more timely access to test content. SOFIVA has developed a wide range of cancer genetic tests for clinical needs, from liquid biopsy to tissue biopsy to clinical use. The launch of this complete service is a result of WiseGene's cumulative development with a number of hospitals and research institutions, and we hope to provide a more comprehensive service for cancer genetic testing in Taiwan.

Roche's Foundation has been providing FDA-approved Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) in Taiwan for many years, providing physicians with more information. With the launch of the AVENIO Tumor Tissue CGP tissue kit, the CGP genetic test can be sent overseas for testing, or the CGP genetic test can be performed in a local laboratory in Taiwan, providing physicians with an additional option.

The CGP test is a next-generation sequencing test that detects hundreds of scientifically documented genes and genetic characteristics in a single test, providing more information about the mutation sites at the clinical end. It provides more information on the clinical side, depending on the mutation.
