Introduction
The Onso system is an innovative short-read sequencing platform with an extraordinary accuracy (Q40+) using PacBio sequencing by binding (SBB) technology. The accuracy provided by the Onso system will help drive groundbreaking discoveries in areas such as liquid biopsy testing for minimal residual disease (MRD), antibiotic resistance monitoring in microbial communities, off-target analysis in gene editing experiments, and many other “needle-in-a-haystack” applications where the highest level of sensitivity is desired. This improvement in accuracy translates to increased sensitivity needed for rare variant detection, significantly reduced sequencing requirements, and overall increased throughput at lower cost per sample.
Features / strengths
Ultra-high accuracy:Powered by sequencing by binding (SBB™) chemistry, the Onso system delivers groundbreaking short-read sequencing performance with accuracy at 90% Q40+
High sensitivity: Using fewer reads, the Onso system lowers the limit of detection, which drives the sensitivity of applications like liquid biopsy research. This enables the identification of variants missed by other short-read sequencing platforms.
High efficiency: Up to 4x decreased sequencing needs relative to existing on-market sequencing technologies for low variant allele detection
High compatibility: Library conversion kit to enable existing P5/P7 containing libraries to be sequenced on the Onso platform
