Simultaneous CT-guided preoperative localization for multiple pulmonary nodules

Introduction
This specialized medical technology project is called "Simultaneous CT-guided preoperative localization for multiple pulmonary nodules." For patients with multiple pulmonary nodules, the accuracy of localizing these nodules is crucial for the success of treatment and surgery. However, the localization process often comes with complications such as pneumothorax, which can increase the surgical risks and patient discomfort. This technology introduces a new localization method: the simultaneous use of Patent Blue Dye (PBD) injection to enhance the success rate of localization while reducing localization time and radiation exposure.
In cases where this localization technique was used, all instances of pneumothorax and pulmonary bleeding were mild and did not require further intervention. This method of simultaneous PBD injection demonstrates the potential to provide a higher localization success rate, improve the efficiency of image-guided thoracoscopic surgery, and reduce the risk of surgical complications, making the surgical process more precise and safe. This has a positive impact on patient recovery and treatment outcomes.
Features / strengths
Up to this point, we have accumulated experience with over 500 cases and have achieved consistently positive results. Additionally, our team has shared our experiences through publications in international journals, providing guidelines for the procedure based on the tumor's depth and the dosage of the injection. Through the use of simultaneous co-axial percutaneous localization, not only can this technique assist surgeons in quickly and accurately locating the lesion during surgery for successful resection, but it also offers patients a better chance of preserving more normal lung tissue.
