The BioCode Fungal Panel Assay is a multiplexed deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) amplification test intended for use with the BioCode MDx-3000 Instrument. The BioCode Fungal Panel enables simultaneous qualitative detection and identification of nucleic acids from 20 fungal pathogens. The BioCode Fungal Panel identifies yeast, mold, and dimorphic fungi: Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus terreus, Cunninghamella bertholletiae, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium solani, Lichtheimia corymbifera, Lomentospora, prolificans, Mucor indicus, Mucor circinelloides / Mucor racemosus, Pneumocystis jirovecii, Rhizomucor spp., Rhisopus spp., Scedosporium apiospermum, Syncephalastrum racemosum, Cryptococcus neoformans / Cryptococcus gattii, Blastomyces dermatitidis, Histoplasma capsulatum, Coccidioides immitis / Coccidioides posadasii

To compare with the traditional fungal culture method which takes several weeks of to result, using BioCode Fungal Panel (RUO) with MDx-3000, PCR detection results of up to 20 fungi simultaneously can be obtained within 5 hours.
