BioCode Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel

Taiwan
Partnership wanted
Introduction
Detect the common pathogens causing gastrointestinal infection, including bacteria, virus, and parasites. Run with Automated System BioCode MDx3000, can perform nucleic acid based diagnostics with centralized format, high sample volume, low cost, and automation. From unpreserved stool or stool preserved in Cary-Blair transport Medium, identify and detect simultaneously as many as 17 targets:
Campylobacter
• Clostridium difficile toxins A and B
• E. coli O157
• Enterotoxigenic E. coli LT/ST (ETEC)
• Enteroaggregative E. coli (EAEC)
• Salmonella
• Shiga-like toxin producing E. coli stx1/stx2 (STEC)
• Shigella/ Enteroinvasive E. coli (EIEC)
• Vibro/ Vibro parahemolyticus
• Yersinia enterocolitica
• Adenovirus 40/41
• Norovirus GI/GII
• Rotavirus A
• Cryptosporidium
• Entamoeba histolytica
• Giardia lamblia
and Internal Control --- MS2
Features / strengths
Gastroenteritis is the second most common illness after the common cold. Globally, diarrhea accounts for approximately 2 million deaths in children less than 5 years old, or 19% of total child deaths. Clinical laboratories typically rely on the combination of conventional microbiological methods and molecular methods, and the full test may take 2-7 days to obtain results. The BioCode Gastrointestinal Pathogen Panel gives physician a front line screening option base on the syndrome, rapidly and comprehensively tests against a full range of pathogens. Provides 17 pathogen test results for 96 patient samples, in 3.5 hour short turn around time. Can flexibly report or mask out pathogens. Can run concurrently with other Applied BioCode panels, drastically improve testing efficiency.
