GlycoNex Implements High-Performance AI and Quantum Modeling to Accelerate Next-Gen Anti-Glycan AntibodiesJan 07, 2026

GlycoNex (醣聯) announced on the 6th that it has commissioned the computational simulation team at PrecisemAb Biotech (碩準生技) to utilize high-performance AI and quantum mechanics (QM) modeling for antibody design. This initiative aims to optimize antibody-glycan interaction specificity and develop novel antibodies with superior tumor selectivity.

Technical Evolution:

  • From 3D to Quantum: Moving beyond traditional 3D structural simulations, the new platform employs atomic-level calculations to predict electron distribution and binding energy between antibodies and tumor glycan antigens.
  • Precision Targeting: By screening candidates at the design source, GlycoNex aims to minimize "off-target" effects on normal tissues, thereby enhancing drug safety.
  • CMC Optimization: General Manager Yang Mei-chun noted that AI is also being evaluated for Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) development to explore process parameters and correlation analysis, effectively shortening development cycles and reducing costs.
