Heron Neutron Medical (禾榮科技) officially announced yesterday a partnership with Advanced Cyclotron Systems Inc. (ACSI) of Canada to sign an accelerator technology licensing and transfer agreement. Heron Neutron Medical will introduce ACSI’s production technology to establish a local manufacturing facility in Taiwan.

Key Objectives:

• Complete Localization: Heron Neutron Medical aims for 100% domestic production of its AB-BNCT (Accelerator-Based Boron Neutron Capture Therapy) systems by 2028. Currently, 90% of the system is localized; this partnership will allow the company to manufacture the final critical 30 MeV components previously sourced from Canada.
• Reliability: ACSI is a world leader in cyclotron technology, known for its highly reliable 30 MeV systems used in medical isotope production since 1987.
• Ecosystem Strengthening: This move secures the supply chain and enhances Heron Neutron Medical’s international competitiveness in the fields of precision oncology and nuclear medicine.
