Panion & BF Biotech is pressing ahead on multiple fronts with four major product lines. The second phase of its new pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical plant is scheduled for completion in November, while the third phase, dedicated to food production, is set to be completed in January next year. Once both phases are operational, the company’s total production capacity will double, supporting its diversified product portfolio. In addition to its existing nephrology drugs, the company is expanding into veterinary medicines and 505(b)(2) novel formulation products, aiming to shorten commercialization timelines and enhance opportunities for global licensing.

The company stated that its novel formulation drug for hemorrhoid treatment, PBF-501, has completed early-stage clinical trials and is now being planned for the next phase of clinical development. Panion & BF has secured patents in Taiwan, the United States, Europe, and China, and is leveraging its patented formulations and transdermal delivery platform to accelerate development. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its international licensing network and will make flexible decisions on retaining supply rights based on R&D outcomes and commercialization progress.

Meanwhile, PBF-502—a triple-combination formulation designed for sexual health—has demonstrated improved efficacy and safety in preclinical studies. The company obtained exclusive licensing rights in Taiwan and first negotiation rights for Greater China this May. It is currently conducting IND-enabling formulation and CMC work and plans to pursue licensing and commercialization opportunities based on forthcoming clinical results.
