Acer's subsidiary, Acer Medical, has added a significant new strength to its team with the appointment of Dr. Kai-Cheng Hsu as the new CEO and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Allen Lien continues his role as Chairman of Acer Medical and Director of Acer Group’s Healthcare Industry. By combining the medical expertise of the two doctors with Acer's technological capabilities, Acer Medical aims to expand its applications and business opportunities in the AI healthcare field.

Dr. Hsu brings extensive experience in both healthcare and AI implementation. He previously worked as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States and engaged in AI healthcare research and development at China Medical University Hospital and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). With his expertise in AI technology and clinical medical applications, Dr. Hsu is expected to lead Acer Medical’s team in enhancing its professional capabilities and solidifying its market-leading position in AI healthcare products.

Dr. Hsu holds a medical degree from National Taiwan University, a Master’s in Electrical Engineering from National Chung Cheng University, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the same university. In addition to his role as a neurologist at a medical institution, he is dedicated to the interdisciplinary integration of medicine and engineering, with expertise in artificial intelligence, systems biology, biomedical signal processing, and bioinformatics.
