Yuan-Rung Hospital officially signed a syndicated loan agreement worth NT$6.28 billion with Land Bank of Taiwan and six other banks yesterday, laying a solid foundation for the construction of its new main hospital. This new project broke ground in July last year and is expected to be completed within three years, becoming one of the largest medical systems in the Central Taiwan region. The hospital is projected to provide nearly 1,200 beds and will introduce advanced equipment and professional medical services.
Chang, Ko-Shih, the president of Yuan-Rung Hospital, stated that the success of this syndicated loan signifies the banking industry's high recognition of Yuan-Rung's past medical achievements and demonstrates confidence in its long-term development. He emphasized that the banks are not only providing funding but are also partners in the "seed of blessings to save lives," where their involvement is not just a profit-making venture but a mission to save lives.
During the signing ceremony, Zhang Zhi-Jian, the general manager of Land Bank of Taiwan, highlighted that the banking consortium was pleased to cooperate with Yuan-Rung Hospital and provide financial support. He noted that this is not only an investment but also an acknowledgment of Yuan-Rung’s contributions to social responsibility and health services. The hospital’s transformation and innovation, especially in introducing advanced medical equipment and establishing specialized medical centers, are worthy of attention, as they will provide patients with comprehensive services.
The new main hospital plans to establish several specialized medical centers, including cardiology, gastroenterology, neurology, and cancer treatment, while also focusing on the holistic health care of patients' physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. President Chang emphasized that medicine is not only about treating diseases but also about promoting health. The future hospital campus will feature facilities such as forests, gardens, and walking paths, providing a warm and comfortable environment for patients.
In addition, the construction of the new hospital campus will follow ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability goals, utilizing low-carbon materials, low-impact development methods, and promoting the alignment of medical facilities with environmental sustainability. Once completed, the new main hospital will become the largest medical center in southern Changhua and neighboring areas, offering more comprehensive medical services to local residents and the surrounding region.
President Chang stated that Yuan-Rung Hospital will continue to deepen its community engagement, improve the quality of care, and combine smart healthcare with human-centered care, positioning itself as a leader in medical services in central Taiwan, ensuring that patients no longer need to travel to the north for high-quality medical services.
