TSH Biopharm held its investor conference on the 20th, during which General Manager Sze Yuan Yang announced that the company, leveraging its Dual Growth Strategy 2.0, is expected to surpass NT$1 billion in revenue this year, achieving its "five-year revenue doubling" goal. Looking ahead to the next five years, TSH Biopharm, along with its subsidiaries TOP Pharma Medical-wares and Chuang Yi Biotech, aims for annual growth of 15–20%, striving to double its operations once again in five years.
Sze Yuan Yang emphasized that TSH Biopharm’s strong market insight and agile strategic execution have driven continuous revenue breakthroughs. The company reported an earnings per share (EPS) of NT$2.7, an increase of NT$1.5 compared to the same period last year, marking a record high. In response to the challenge of Taiwan's ongoing reductions in National Health Insurance (NHI) drug prices, the company is working to increase the revenue share of self-paid drugs, growing from NT$40 million in 2022 to NT$530 million in 2024.
Yang noted that TSH Biopharm’s consolidated revenue for the first three quarters of this year grew by 41% year-over-year, with gross profit margins consistently exceeding 50%. EPS for the first three quarters of 2023 was NT$1.2, which has since doubled to NT$2.7 by the third quarter of this year, fulfilling the company’s five-year doubling target.
He further shared that TSH Biopharm launched its "Golden Goose" initiative last year, adding two subsidiaries by late 2023 and early 2024. These include acquiring a 51% stake in Chuang Yi Biotech, a distributor for clinic and pharmacy channels, extending the company’s product age range from elderly patients to pediatric populations. Additionally, it acquired a 51% stake in TOP Pharma Medical-wares, which focuses on the elderly market, expanding its product portfolio to cover eight major disease categories.
In terms of product innovation and research and development, Yang highlighted the acquisition of two new drug approvals this year. These include Malaysian approval for Amtrel (a new combination drug for hypertension) and Taiwanese approval for TYRVAYA, a nasal spray for dry eye syndrome under the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, featuring a new indication and administration route.
Looking ahead, TSH Biopharm plans to accelerate the development of 16 new niche products, spanning areas such as dry eye syndrome, osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases, diagnostics, and rare diseases. Some products have already been launched, while others are expected to be introduced on schedule, contributing to future revenue and unlocking further business opportunities.
