Vice President Bi-khim Louise Hsiao Visits Taiwan Medical Technology Expo, Praises Military Medical AchievementsDec 08, 2024

On the morning of December 7, Vice President Bi-khim Louise Hsiao visited the "Taiwan Medical Technology Expo" to demonstrate her support for the development of Taiwan's medical technology industry. During her visit, she toured the Military Health System exhibition area and commended the achievements made in military medicine.

Accompanied by Dr. Wu Chih-Huey, President of the National Biotechnology and Medical Industry Promotion Association, Vice President Hsiao explored various exhibition areas, including the Military Health System, National Taiwan University Hospital, and Taipei Municipal Gan-Dau Hospital. She learned about the progress and applications of various fields, including 3D surgical imaging, metaverse surgical training models, telemedicine and healthcare, precision medicine integrating both Chinese and Western medicine, humane smart care in ICUs, digital transformation in regional hospitals, pre-surgical risk prediction systems, infusion connection systems, new AI-integrated endoscopes, and rehabilitation technologies.

The 2024 "Taiwan Medical Technology Expo" opened on December 5 at the Nangang Exhibition Hall and will run until today. The three main themes of this year's expo are Medtech, Biotech, and Healthtech. The exhibition showcases Taiwan's latest AI-driven medical applications, including innovative diagnostic technologies, precise early disease detection, advanced treatment techniques, and efficient healthcare management systems. These developments are expected to significantly enhance Taiwan's healthcare quality and efficiency, while showcasing Taiwan’s medical capabilities to the world.
