ASUS announced on the 28th its collaboration with the National Taiwan University Hospital Hsin-Chu Branch (NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch) to launch a new "Telemedicine and AI Voice Medical Record System". This innovative system has already been implemented in telemedicine, enabling physicians to generate hospital-compliant medical records in real time during virtual consultations using natural language processing technology. This marks a significant step forward in integrating AI into medical practices.
Deepening AI in Healthcare
ASUS Chief Operating Officer Joe Hsieh highlighted that ASUS's voice transcription technology is now operational in NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch's telemedicine services. The system complies with Taiwan’s Telemedicine Regulations while advancing AI applications in clinical settings.
ASUS's Medical Voice technology is equipped with specialized recognition for professional medical and nursing terminology. It can instantly transform spoken language into structured records, automatically filling in organizational details. Powered by ASUS’s large language model, Agility, the technology ensures the content is converted into comprehensive, structured medical records, providing robust support to healthcare professionals.
Agility supports both cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, delivering exceptional performance without requiring expensive hardware. It can also be deployed on in-house servers to ensure data security, meeting stringent cybersecurity demands from healthcare institutions.
A New Paradigm in Smart Healthcare
Dr. Yu Chung-Jen, Superintendent of NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch, expressed excitement about the collaboration with ASUS, which leverages their respective strengths to create a new paradigm in smart healthcare. He emphasized that innovation in medical services is key to improving patient care quality and efficiency in an era of rapid digital transformation. Moving forward, the hospital will actively promote smart healthcare, aiming to enhance medical efficiency and care quality, enabling more people to benefit from advanced health-focused solutions.
Streamlining Medical Documentation with AI
Dr. Ching-Ting Tan, Deputy Superintendent and Director of the Smart Healthcare Innovation Center at NTUH Hsin-Chu Branch, explained that integrating the hospital’s telemedicine platform with ASUS’s medical voice recognition system and generative AI capabilities allows seamless operation across various medical specialties. The system simultaneously completes medical or care records during consultations, treatments, or patient education sessions. This reduces administrative burdens on healthcare providers, significantly improving consultation efficiency and patient care delivery.
