Collaborating to Pioneer AI-Powered Healthcare Applications
Foxconn Technology, in partnership with Taichung Veterans General Hospital and Cardinal Tien Hospital, has been selected for the "Leading Enterprise R&D Deep Cultivation Program" (commonly known as the "A+ Program"). The company has also been named among the second batch of approved users for NVIDIA’s Taipei-1 supercomputer. Leveraging this state-of-the-art AI supercomputer, Foxconn aims to further enhance its AI capabilities in smart healthcare, underscoring its leadership in cutting-edge AI applications.
Foxconn highlighted that NVIDIA Taipei-1, ranked 38th globally among AI supercomputers, is powered by 64 NVIDIA DGX H100 systems interconnected via NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand architecture and includes 64 NVIDIA OVX systems.
The supercomputer boasts 256 NVIDIA L40 GPUs, each delivering over one petaflop of AI performance. Specifically designed for digital twins, industrial metaverse applications, and large-scale data analytics, this platform’s high computational power enables Foxconn to process massive datasets efficiently. In smart healthcare, it will be used to simulate care-coordination robot environments within smart hospitals and conduct deep-learning training for digital twin-assisted diagnostic analysis.
Foxconn’s General Manager of Business Group B and Digital Health, Chih-Hsiung Chiang, stated that the A+ Program offers an opportunity to ease the burden on hardworking healthcare professionals, making their efforts more effective.
Looking ahead, Foxconn plans to focus on advancing its CoDoctor AI ecosystem and developing care-coordination robots. By leveraging the massive medical model architecture, Foxconn aims to lead in multimodal data research and model development, driving progress in precision health, preventive medicine, and nursing collaboration.
This initiative not only demonstrates Foxconn's commitment to healthcare innovation but also positions it as a key player in the future of smart, AI-driven medical solutions.
